I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I ripped my shorts too. On the second set of squats! But I did what I had to do: I trained until the end, even if all the girls were strangely looking at me.

lol.

My usual gym shorts have ripped before in the front (right where the fly would go), and on both sides below the pockets. It's weird because they are pretty big for me and I thought there was enough room in there! The first time, I just got them sewed back up but it's happened again and I'm not sure what to do since they'll just rip again, and so will any other pair of shorts i'll most likely get.

No casualties so far. Lift more, perhaps?

I wear thongs so my undies are safe. I haven't had the unfortunate destruction of pants yet but I did have to retire a pair because every time I squatted down they'd pull so far down you could just about see ass crack.

I've left some pretty mighty skids after a squat session, but so far the heavy duty shorts I'm wearing have held their own... I did hear a bit of a rip this morning though....

My main concern isn't actually the crappy pants I train in, but the fact my suit trousers are VERY tight in the ass region now - I have slight concern that I'll bend over to tie my shoelaces before a big meeting and rip the ass right out of them!!! Has anyone else felt like changing trousers since starting SL5x5?

I always wear rugby shorts. They are a bit revealing, but tough as hell. I rip jeans during normal wear. Never had a pair of jeans last more than 4 months, always the crotch.

I'm sure there are lots of people, but let me talk for myself. Now only a couple of my trousers are actually fitting, although they too are not very comfortable. I remember when I bought them last year - they were a size loose. I am just procrastinating buying new ones, since I think I may have to dump them in six months.

OK, can you add a pair of brown cargo pants to the list please? It wasn't even in the hole either!!! I stretched my knees wide whilst limbering for a 3rd set, and POP, the crotch went. Luckily the gym was relatively empty this morning so I finished the workout anyway. They were my favourite pair of crappy shorts too - may have to sew them up...

My training trousers now have an 8" long tear up the seam at the back. It's draughty now, with wind passing in both directions...
In the hole on set 2 of my squats, then riiiiiiiiiiip. Comedy sound effects applenty.

I did another pair of shorts yesterday - the material sheared open across my ass cheek. It made a monumentally loud rip too.

We should have a league table for this...I'm guessing nburge is the run away winner! I may have to sabotage a few of my old pairs to keep up :)
