I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

The Squatter's Shorts Graveyard.

Whatever comes to your mind

The Squatter's Shorts Graveyard.

The squat is an unforgiving exercise, and many a good pair of shorts or pants have fallen victim to the unrestrained power of a squatter's arse. This thread serves to honour all the shorts and pants that have been torn in the course of a stronglifter's squatting session.

Let me know in this thread how many of your shorts have met their end at the bottom of a squat, and they shall be remembered here.

Can we include underwear? I have lost three fine pairs to the cause then.

Two pairs of satin boxer shorts, one complete destruction of winter shorts and one minor tear of summer shorts.

I've switched to cotton briefs to cut on my re-clothing expenses haha

At work (due to squatting) I've ripped two pairs of pants and 4 pairs of boxers. My proudest accomplishment was ripping a pair of compression shorts. It brought tears to my eyes.

Two pairs of underwear to squatting, one to mobility work.

One pair of training pants squatting - bought them before I started strong lifts, was doing a set of 5 and for each rep the tear got bigger :p Fortunately it was double-layered.. My brother was laughing his head off though.

I go commando so the drawers will never become a casualty. I buy my workout shorts/pants/sweats normally a size larger than I need to avoid this embarrassment in my gym. Just a tip for you shorts-rippin, big-ass havin mofos :)

This is hilarious. What's considered "Collateral Damage"??? I'm not sure if I want to know! But I had to ask anyway.

Those are my 'civilian' (non-gym shorts) that got caught up in some squat-form practice and ended up ripping
