I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

What weights did you hit on your ramp up to 190? I find it only takes 5kg to differentiate a solid lift from a non-mover.

4 attempts? Solid effort, Mouse. It'll be all the sweeter when it comes.
Great stuff, man.

Thanks guys - no big deal - all part of the enjoyment of lifting - some you get, some you don't - but they come eventually with effort, focus and hard work.

70x5 110x2 150x1 180x1 190x0x0x0x0
Knackered at this point - dropped to 160 but that and then 150 wouldn't go up by then.
So 110 8x3.

Maybe should have gone 150, 170 and 190 in hindsight - still good experience for next time.

Fair play to you for attempting it 4 times, I probably would've given up after the second go.
Interesting to read about the weights you ramp up with. For some reason (there's no science behind it!), I've always kept my last warm up at least 20kg lighter than my working weight, which seems to work for me. So you might be right that a 150, 170, 190 would be better.
At least I can close the gap a bit now.

Yeah I wouldn't even do that - 5 x 60 , 1 x 100, 1 x 140, 190.

After pulling 180 it'd be time for bed for me. But i'm lazy with warmups.

Thoroughly disgusted with my attempts at 190 on Wednesday.
Skipped last night's WO as I went out to a leaving do of one of the wife's colleagues.
I wonder - 6 pints of Guinness...................

Saturday 18 July 09
DL - 70kgx5 110kgx1 150kgx1 190kgx1

All thanks to the 'D' and a bit more focus this time

Yeah mate! Love the build up to it, totally focused, you had me chuckling at first but when you locked it out....whoa!
Nice one. You'll easily get 200kg.
