I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Same issue here.
I know my wife thinks I am mad but she passed the stage of mentioning it every week.

No - don't bring the little man with the hammer in to my Training Log Kathy.
It's just too weird for me.

As to what it means, you had better ask H (just between you and me I think it's a weird Belgian thing - I've no idea)

You go max effort and all of a sudden all lights go out.
That's when the little man with the hammer has hit you right between the eyes :D

Sorry to hear that, Mouse-man. You deserve more for all the work and awesomeness you have accomplished.

My wife is still working out with me and getting great results. She's a bit addicted to the numbers, too, always looking to increase, hating the de-loads. After BP when my chest is still pumped, she gives me these big, two-hand smacks to the pecs, says "Mummy like!" and then the wild rumpus starts.

I suppose the good news is the other day she said ,"is it a workout night?" when trying to arrange something - so maybe some minor progress.

looks like you're doing well, Mouse!

I'm amazed by the 8x3x150kg - I was happy that I got my 1 rep

what about the ugly plates? are they finally gone?

Monday 27 October 09
Deadlift Day

Rack Pulls
70kg x5
110kg x5
150kg x3
180kg x2
200kg x1
220kg x1
230kg x1

DL
150kg - 15x1

Rack Pulls from knee height. 2 more lower pins to go. 230 is heavy but seems doable from the rack, breaking it off the floor may be a bit of an issue

Cut short really as Little Mouse was out at a friends house overnight, so we took the opportunity to go out for a meal.

You ARE a beast ...

When lowering further, maybe use bricks for the last stage to make the interval smaller.
I would personally also go for some reps first before lowering to the next stage, but that's me.
It has the added benefit of giving your arms more grip work with this weight.

Nice work, I think I know whom to bet on for the one crossing 500lbs before end of the year ;)

Sounds like a good idea. I think I could have done one or two more as the ROM is obviously reduced.

I'm sure you know what he's trying to do, Mouse...

Mouse-

Are you doing Rack Pulls on a 5/3/1 template?

I'm confused...which is a normal state of affairs for me.
