I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

@Mouse, glad you finally got your rack -- it's looks great! Will you be able to do dips? Looks like you can definitely start doing chins and pull-ups.
How are you doing with fat loss?

W/C 28 JAN 08 (Week 4):

Monday:
Squat 77.5kg 5x5
Bench 45kg 5x5
Deads 90kg 3x5
Chin ups 3/2/2

Squats are SO much better with the rack.
Bench still feels good and not too much of a struggle.
Should be doing Dips with the Bench workout, but need to sort out a workaround for my rack - have an idea thanks to a thread on Muscle Talk  - should be up and running for Friday's work out.
@Geoff - don't worry i'll be soon dipping like a good un!!
Well impressed I managed any Chins (palms facing - is that right?), not sure how well i'll get on with pull ups (palms away - is that right?)

Good session.......................yeah!!

Hoping the comparison photos at the end of the week will show at least some progress!!

My lower back was starting to feel it with the squats. However tonight's workout - no problems.
Just goes to show I suppose how the right equipment helps when the weight starts to increase  -  ie a rack.

Wednesday:
Squat 80kg - 5x5
Press 35kg - 5x5
Row 35kg - 5x5
Shrugs 80kg - 5x5
Pull ups - 2 / 2 / 1

All four 20 kg plates on the bar tonight - looked great and felt even better.  Speed is slowing, but still think there is enough in the tank to let me get to bodyweight at least - that should be Friday Week 5 by my calculations.
Press going well still.
Went for a serious deload on Rows tonight to work on form - seem to be struggling 'feeling' my back when doing these and lower back knows i've been doing them.
Threw in Shrugs to compensate a bit for the deload on Rows.
ABSOLUTELY chuffed to bits to get 2/2/1 on pull ups.

My chalk ball came through today and proved to be a godsend - don't know how i've managed to date without!!

Mehdi -
Thinking of adding Turkish Get Ups to my routine.
Would they be similar to chins/dips - that is 3 sets to failure with cetain weight or 3x5 with weight increments as the Stronglifts routine?

Mehdi
RE TGU's
So 3x5, but do I keep the weight in the same hand for all 3 sets, or do I swap the weight ?
