I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Thanks Lathiel.
Seems strange to be an inspiration to someone as I always feel as though there are others progressing more than I am!

Looking back to the start of my log 100kg squat was an initial goal - hope Friday goes well.
Still a way off my 140kg for deads though - but it will come.

Good luck on the squats on Friday.  I will be attempting to squat 75kg on Friday (week 10).  I will try and catch up with your squat weight in the coming months!

Mouse - this guy  (you remember him from the mirror) is going to the gym with you on Friday - he's getting out of that mirror and he's gonna kick your ass all over that gym on Friday.
Let us know how you do

Look at the bar Friday and tell it straight up - "I'm gonna skull f**k this weight today!"
Then do it...(figuratively speaking of course)

Friday:
Squat 100kg 5x5
Press 40kg 5x5
Shrugs 100kg 5x5
Pull ups 3 / 3 / 2

Absolutely chuffed to bits with the squat !!  First set was a killer, but then it just got and felt better.  Just kept focussed and thought about everyone's comments above - before I knew it I was on the last set and ripped through it.   That said I took slightly longer between sets - about 1 min 45 - as I was sweating like a hooded rapist !
Press - hard work tonight - think I may struggle next workout.  It felt like I was pushing that last rep for about 5 minutes to get it locked out !!!!!!!  Of all the exercises tonight, this was the hardest but I was NOT going to stall on anything tonight !
Shrugs - no problems
Pull ups - slight increase.

Big thanks to everyone who took the time to drop by my training log and wish me good luck.
It was the thought of not letting anyone down with the 100kg I think that got me through it - my motivation was super high last night.
I'm not setting a new squat goal at the moment.  Going to concentrate on my 140kg main deads goal - then reassess both goals.
Next week's short term goal of 115kg for deads I feel quite confident with - we'll see.
It will be interesting to see how the squats progress as well.

[ jdurando - I have a window in my garage where I work out - I can see my reflection in it quite well at night with the light on - almost like a mirror.  After each set of squats I came out of the rack, went to the window and the guy staring back at me definately was kicking my 'butt' - I was seeing me but all I could imagine was you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ]

Congraz on the 2 plates squat. Why are you doing shrugs?

Just can't get on with rows so put these in as a stop gap while I practice technique with power cleans - finding them a bit tricky at the moment.
Still practicing with the rows as well, but can't seem to get them to feel right !!
