I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Time to go advanced?

I have been doing SL5x5 for under a month, although I have been strength training for some time previously. My previous session was 5 x 5 at 105kg. I am pretty sure that I am able to squat 1.5xBW and will be having a go at this on sunday. (Aiming for 1 rep @ 130kg, BW is 85kg).

If this is done, is it time to move up to the intermediate or advanced program, or should I keep going as I am? I have yet to deload on any of the exercises.

If it isn't broke don't fix it. Ride it out as long as the gains keep coming. I started the beginner program a little over a month ago being able to squat 1.5xBW for reps, and was close to DL 2xBW, and I'm still going at it.
The bands won’t make you squat big; check between your legs before you change anything. It takes more than a band to make you squat. -Chuck Vogelpohl

yes indeed he did. Sticking with sl5x5 as long as you can is the best idea.

i bet you can 140-150 kg with SL 5X5 if you keep at it. plus one month isnt that long, its pretty clear you have done other training before the 5X5. give it a few more months and i bet you wont be dissapointed.
