I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Being away can be a drag ...
I spend 12 days on boy-scout camp and though I was unable to do any form of exercising, unable to eat 'the good stuff' ... I managed to keep my weight in check. 0.0kg change.
Had a first workout yesterday since coming back. Boy was it hard.

I will also be going to the South of France as of mid next week (Pont-Saint-Esprit area, South of Ardêche), will do some BW exercises there though. Lots of rocks to lift and trees to climb :D
Where are you going to ?

Throw in a WO with 50-60% of your normal weights but double the volume. That'll teach you to let things slip ;)

I've been doing a lot of work actually. Been tearing down the outer parts of my parents house. Haven't been eating much during that time though, so I've lost a few pounds.

I'm staying with a friend in Montpellier :) We will probably spend a day or two in Barcelona as well.

Until I get back from France I'm thinking of doing some no-journal, getting-my-motivation-back training. I just lost it during summer. Couldn't be bothered with the diet and work. Getting back though... looking to so some propper work!

Just go for it dude.
The good thing about strength training is that you will be back to where you left off lift-wise pretty fast!

I won't be posting results until I'm getting close to where I was though... I've done three workouts and I'm feeling... very out of shape. I'm doing something around 60kg squats 60kg bench 80 kg DL 50kg rows 30kg press.... everything feels very heavy. I feel very lazy....

Everything went south and I blame the PS3 I got for my birthday O_o

thank god for excuses

Uhm, forgot to post on friday.

squat 5x5 62,5kg
bench 5x5 62,5kg
rows 5x5 52,5kg
dips 12 - 4 - .... I haven't been taking notes or following a "plan" like last time... can't remember how many sets I was supposed to do here... one set until you can do 15 easily, right? I did one more anyways...
Will be adding weight soon. hopefully... My triceps have been really sore since I startes. I did 3 half-assed sessions before I started posting. Everything else feels pretty good...

I've been skipping the reverse crunches and been doing sloppy warm-ups. This lazy ass bastard will be doing everything properly next week though.

Hmm, not sure if we need to slap your hands or congratulate you for doing a session
Let's stick with the congratulations ;)

As a reminder, how does your program look like nowadays ?
Might be easier to see where you are trying to cut some corners ;)

Program? Same as before really... Just started out with the basics and added exercises as I went along. I skipped pull-ups and dips the first few times. I'm not really cutting corners, just doing incremental iterations as we say in the software business. Start with the core and add more when I feel up to it. The last two have been pretty good, considering I've been off since august.

A:
squat
bench
rows
dips
crunch

B:
squ
press
dead-lift
pull-ups
crunch

everything 5x5 except crunches, dips and pull-ups. at this point I just want to rediscover the joy for training. The numbers are not important, what's important is getting back the routine and getting past the initial first training sessions that suck. hehe...

Yesterday - monday 30.11.09 - captains log, star-date 12987461276:

squat 5x5 65kg
press 5x5 35kg
deadl 1x5 90kg
pull-ups wide 3-2-2. how I hate pull-ups... I'm thinking of throwing them out of the program and buying a pull-up bar to keep at home
reverse crunches 2x12@10kg

triceps feel very sore, stomach even worse... which is good after all, but I seem to get a bit fever-ish. FUCK SHAIT ARSE!!!
