I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I dunno, what do you think? Ideally it would be active people I suppose, but given there are fewer women, maybe keeping any for reference would be useful for new lifters coming along? Any thoughts on it, PG?

I think they should be noted as either active or inactive logs. My concern is that someone new will come here, read the log & post not realizing the logs are inactive. It can be disheartening to not get feedback when your new. On the other hand it's nice to have so many logs to reference for us females as we are a minority here.

Here are other ladies still active on the forum. Will you add them?

Existing logs can go inactive too. I feel we can keep them, old threads coming up happens in other categories too. Let me know what you think.

I don't think they should be removed either. It would just be nice to know which members are still active before reading through 20 pages only to find the person hasn't posted or logged in in the last 6 months.

Either way it's not that big of an issue so whatever you decide is fine. (not that you need my approval  )

Well if someone just clicks the last page, they'll see it. I get what you mean, but it also has to be manageable by us. And feedback is always appreciated.

I've added an intro in the first post, linking to the 'how to' sticky, describing how to add your name and log, and providing a warning about inactive logs, as per PG's trenchant observations.

Mods- please make sure that that intro part is included when you update. Without it some may not know how to add their name and log.

Hope I did this right- I didn't put myself in a weight class because I wasn't sure, should it be the division higher or lower than your actual weight? I am 175, wasn't sure if I should go under 165 or 181.

Mods, can this rather cumbersome process not better be done by adding some custom groups? If you add groups that are named for specific weight ranges and for specific ages, then people can be put into those extra groups and other users can then find them simply by using the Find a Member search.

http://www.phpbb.com/support/documentat ... age_groups

An advantage to using groups for this is that you can have group leaders, group forums etc.
