I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Training with flat feet

I realise that I'm posting this literally seconds after posting a thread about Lordosis, but lemme just say that I'm not a complete cripple, I just didn't get dealt the best cards at birth :D

Anyways, I'm flat footed, and I'm pretty sure it has an affect on training (ankles feel odd on squats, unsure stance on bent over rows etc) and I'm just wondering if any other people here are flat footed too, if they've noticed anything whilst training themselves and how/if they've done anything to change that.

I know it may seem like an odd thing to ask about, but, more than the average person, I've come to realise that healthy feet affect the entire body and I try to stay on top of it.

I'm flat footed too, never noticed it affecting my training. Get some good lifting shoes and you'll be fine.
Male 37 - 5'9" - 240lb.
Deadlift 600+
Squat 500+
Pess 315
Bench 450+
these numbers will go up (except the bench....bloody shoulder joint)
