I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

java hmm kind of , haven't been stricktly sticking to it nooo but i've been going in when i was up to it and lifting maybe once or twice a week. I'll be getting back on full steam ahead in about 3 weeks. I know i'll pound it out all summer since i have nothing better to do and i'll be living at home next year so i'll be able to use my home gym without any inconvineince. I do need to buy more plates though cuz my home set only goes up to 300lbs and i know i'll be able to DL that pretty soon.

Ok so i've finally got back from college and started lifting again. Getting back in the swing of things i'm taking it easy at first. That way I don't get too sore before i get into the habit of lifting again. In a few weeks I'll be back at more challenging weights and feeling great.

So today for conviniece and because my dad who was lifting with me was too impatient to let me change the weight we just did everything 95 lbs. Needless to say a 95lb squat is pretty easy and the bench and rows were'nt much challenging. I will say though that the reverse crunches kicked my butt.

Press 5x5 85lbs
Deads 1x5 135lbs.

Workout #3
6/17/09
Squat 115lbs
Bench 115lbs
Row 100 lbs
Reverse Crunches 3X10

Workout was a bit harder than #1 but not by too much. My right hip is hurting a bit i think i just need to warm it up a little better and that problem should go away. Man these ab exercises are killer. They seem to be a little easier than before though. Workout 4 coming on Fri.!!!

Workout #4
6/19/09
Squat 5x5 125lbs
OHP 5x5 95 lbs
Deadlift 5x5 145 lbs
Planks 3x30s

Todays workout was a bit tougher especially on press I won't be able to jump like that again I know that much. I might be able to pound out 100 though which would be pretty neat. Squat still pretty decent concentrating a lot on form now in the hopes that in about 80 lbs its not as hard to keep it clean. Deadlift wasn't even a challenge. But keeping on with the habit of working out is what i'm trying to establish right now. In a nother few weeks i'll p rlly be addicted to lifting things off of the ground. Ah glorious weekend. woot woot. Next workout on Monday.

Workout #6
6/26/09
Squat 5x5 135
OHP 6x5 105
DL 1x5 155

I had really bad sunburn today from teh beach yesterday so needless to say squatting wasn't terribly comfortable. Oddly enough though, it hurt more when the bar was taken off of my back than when i was squatting. OHP was hard today i worked out with my dad. He needed a little extra time so I did an extra set while i was waiting. Can't hurt right? Deadlifts, not even close to my max yet. I may increase by 20lbs next workout to see how much my grip can hold.

Workout #7
6/29/09
Squat 5x5 135
Bench 5X5 125
Row 5x5 125

This workout i forgot how to add in my head so i didnt end up going up in squat or bench. good news is that the bench seemed a helluva lot easier than last time. I experimented with high bar squat today and found it to be significantly more difficult for me to lift the weight. I can really feel teh quads working hard for high bar. The rows as usual were my favorite lift of the day and weren't too bad. I can feel my mid back nice and tight from doing the pendlays.

Hey another row lover, and rowing the same weight as benching! I see your deadlift is way higher or at least is going to be way higher than your squat. Maybe you'll literally pull your squat max up. :P

I pretty much love all the Pulling exercises. bench is my least favorite, then i'm apathetic towards squat, its not exactly fun, but its definitely a great exercies as i'm exhausted after a heavy set. The reason i love deads so much is because going 1x5 i can really kill myself lifting them. =)

I agree too. The squat is not my favorite, however we all know what benefits they bring by doing em.
Great numbers treunlneiss.

Ah thanks rere, but the great numbers are yet to come. I'm nowhere near my potential for most of these lifts yet. Except OHP i'll stall on that next week or I think.

Workout #8
7/2/09
OHP 1x1 145lbs
Squat 145 5x5
OHP 105 5x5
DL 185 1x5

Today's Squats and Dl's were easy even though on dl i added 40 lbs. I just waqnted to get up to something that at least stresses my body on dl. The presses were defintely hard even though weight stayed the same. Just for kicks i took the weight i squatted with and pressed it once. It was slow going but got it up there. I might have been able to do it for a double or possibly a triple but didnt wanna exhaust myself for what i knew was as hard set to come. next workout coming on saturday.
