I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

yes I'm bumping... gsp walks at 190, so silva gsp isn't impossible.. they could do catch weight. Can't wait for ufc 106 brock vs carwin.. I see carwin winning.. bother successful wrestlers, same size and carwin is a superior striker.. and if he wins we lose all the lesnar nuthuggers. I'm not even going to discuss who can beat fedor and who can't.. hes proven himself and his legacy will be remembered.. all he wants now is some spare cash

As much as I'd like to see Carwin win, I think Brock will have the edge: Brock seems bigger, taller and quicker

Hes not going to be able to manhandle carwin like the rest of his opponents, they are the same size and both have wrestling backgrounds.. and brocks has terrible stand up, carwin does not

I think that if Fedor doesnt come to the UFC after his M1 contract then something is wrong with him.
Stats:
Bench: 97kg
Squat: 112kg
Deadlift: 117kg
OHP: 55kg
Dips: 40kg
Pull-ups: 22kg

The deadlift is not dead; size is dead without it.

I'm kind of curious why he didn't come when Pride was bought out.
Goals:

Deadlift- 400 lbs 1x5 (regular grip)
Press- 205 lbs 1x5

I remember a lot of talk at the time about Dana not willing to offer what the Fedor camp was asking. Then there's the fact once negotiations had stalled, Dana ran around saying shit like "Fedor isn't the best. He hasn't fought anyone. Blah, blah, blah..." Furthermore, I know the UFC takes a pretty staunch stance against letting its fighters fight outside of the UFC -- it just seems to have a much tighter level of control over it's fighters (kind of like the way the old studio system worked back in the early 1900s with regard to actors.) Fedor likes to compete in Sambo and other exhibition matches of varying sorts, so maybe he didn't want to give that up? That, and he's beaten what, four guys who have been UFC champ at some point, and was about to fight a fifth. So maybe he feels he doesn't have to subject himself to UFC treatment in order to fight the best? Regardless, I wish to god he'd sign with the UFC...

Fedor doesn't want to come to the ufc because he doesn't need too.. he is a sambo and judo champion and competes regularly which the ufc finally folded on in the last negotiations but the one thing they wouldn't give m1 was co-promotion. When fedor was in pride he fought the best in the world.. pride was the best organization with the top ranked fighters. Fedor is known as the best mma fighter to date and has nothing left to prove(although he doesn't much care what people think) he owns 20% of m1 and strikeforce gave co promotion therefore he went to strikeforce. All hes after now if money.. hes is well known everywhere except the USA and maybe strikeforce will change that.. the ufc only had maybe 2 heavyweight fights that people cared to see, lesnar and couture.. and those would have been easy wins... sorry about the rambling there is much more to be said on the topic but I'm keeping it short..

It could also be said that he is getting past his prime, but I don't believe it hes still young and undefeated!

Nogueira is back! I hope he takes on Brock Lesnar =P...I can't believe Nogueira is only 33 years old though, that dude looks older than 46 year old couture!!! Must be all the beatings he sustained over the years and the fact that he likes blocking punches with his face... lol

Nogueira vs Brock will be a huge test for both fighters. If Brock wins than the call to fight Fedor will get even bigger.

Nogueira will get shit on by Brock, I doubt that fight would even happen.. It's only a test for Nogueira.. a walk in the park for brock. Fedor vs Brock will just not happen... if it does its at least 2 years away, and chances are fedor will retire by then. And Brock is worried about having to fight Fedor, he did an interview about it..

What makes you think Fedor will be retiring any time soon?

I think Brock might be able to beat Fedor just because of his size and speed

Who knows if the fight will ever happen, but as of right now, my money is definitely on Fedor. Brock is big, strong, and fast, but, to be honest, Fedor is on a completely different level skill wise (he ain't exactly slow or weak, either). If Lesner continues to win against quality oppenents, I might change my mind, but a win over a washed up Heath Herring, an old Randy Couture, and Frank Mir doesn't put him in the same league as Fedor.
