I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I'm not sure if any of you have seen this kid's videos, but he is very impressive. He is only 19 and he is putting up some incredible numbers:

That's an Olympic squat, too. Kid's back is practically vertical the whole time. Incredible power on that last push. Damn.

I know what you mean! I'm not sure where it's coming from, but my first thought was "Holy shit, is that coming from his knees!?"

Some more insanity...

Gotta love the comment at the end of this last one :-)

Those Olympic lifter types can do some pretty crazy squatting. A guy on my high school rugby team could back squat 570x4, which explains why he was impossible to tackle.

I wince every time he bottoms out. Damned impressive stuff.

The popping is air being forced through his lips by the pressure. And some pressure ;)

This kid is such a freak! There's not many alive who can do this, let alone many who can make it look so easy at such a young age:

For comparison's sake, here's Reza:

This guy is amazing.
I assume he has worked very hard to get to this level. But how hard? How much of this is a pure genetic gift? and how much of it is purely hard work? Would be interesting to know...

If an "average" person with a similar build put in the same amount of work; what would he be likely to be lifting in comparison? I realise the questions have no definitive answer, but would be cool if somebody had some rational input on it.
