I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Weightlifting underwear

Postby thefinalsql on Sat Sep 26, 2009 12:22 am

I find myself pulling tightie-whities out of my butt crack after every squat set.

Most boxer shorts are too tight on my thigh.

Trying some boxer brief type underwear (Jockey Life), not only am I pulling these out of my butt crack after every squat set the legs come down a few inches on my thighs, but they keep rolling up.

What have you found to be the best weightlifting underwear?

No underwear at all. I wear the same compression shorts/tights that I wear for running. Works well for me.

Good question mon amie. I actually am using the Jockey boxer briefs. I think they would be fine with a trim waistline. Body fat tends to contort your waistline and underwear causing issues.

Now if there are underwear that work best please do tell us.
He's going to get better results than you. Why? Because you go through the motions of training with all the intensity of a fat guy channell surfing, and He leaves blood on the barbell.

Wearing just briefs. Need to find something better. Sweating a lot during squats. Not only briefs but pants are wet during squats.

Compression shorts for me. Have not found anything more comfortable for lifting. Although be wary of cheap ones, they are likely to rip.

And the winner is...

Running shorts with inner brief.

I forget you guys lift in public places haha... boxer briefs + mma shorts (split thigh seam) would be the go in public. I suppose this is similar to running shorts, although I'm not sure exactly what they are like.

Prodige boxers, the larger, tight ones, the short ones are crappy, not matter the brand

My favorite pair is a set of underarmor stretchy standard boxer shorts that breath and don't stick to my shorts/pants from sweat and split down the center like all of my other standard cotton boxers have. Talk about breezy!

I wear the UnderArmor boxer briefs with the 9" leg.
They keep my thighs from rubbing too much, and they're not as tight as the UA compression shorts on my "boys".
