I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Sorry for being unclear. I eat 4 to 6 times a day from that menu mostly. I fast one day a week for approx 22 hours.

Below is todays squat at 190lbs. Still feels heavy but not as much as before. Man, i gotta figure out to drive my body to get stronger ahead of the increases in weight on squat.

Age: 39 Weight: 255 lbs Height: 6" Body Fat: 25%
Squat: 255 lbs Deadlift: 265 lbs Bench: 170 lbs Over Head: 105 lbs

I did not think that your form looked bad. If anything, you might need to get those glutes firing and more hip drive. You say that the weight is heavy, well that's just the way it is going to be once you are near squatting your bodyweight and beyond. You need to mentaly get over your "it's heavy and that's some type of problem thinking". Pushing and stressing your body is what it is all about and that is what makes you stronger. Push yourself, it's not supposed to be easy. Just change your expectations a bit and you will be fine. In 3-4 months, weights which you now find difficult will be warm-ups.

Wait, you hold your breath all the way back up? I am blowing out hard coming out of the hole. Seems to help me better.

Looks like you're lacking some hamstring flexibility. You're trying to get deeper (you're missing parallel on some reps) by leaning forward more. The bar will go deeper this way, but your knee and hip position remains the same. It is only the illusion of going deeper.
Your feet also seem to be pointed outward too much. Right now they're at about 50 degrees. This should be about 30. Easier to use hipdrive that way too.
For stance, bar placement, knee tracking, etc. you're gonna have to post a vid from a different angle.

Just thought i'd give an update.

So what have i changed since whinning about being a 225lbs weakling? I became 255lbs not so weakling.

I pretty much did what I said I was gonna do in above postings and finally the weight on the bar is going up after massive deloads. todays 240lbs squat was tough but ok. BW squat should be achieved within 2 weeks. I may not meet my appril 1st strength goal but thats ok. the fat loss diet that will start then should have me a lean muscular 210lbs.

Damn, took me 7 months to perfect the form. My hockey play has never been better as squat strength increases. Still cant drink a gallon of whole milk without shitting myself. Still love 3 McD's double cheese burger, such easy calories and protein.

Also, I got a belt and shoes. These items certainly were worthwhile investments.

I missed your vid last time! Most squats look good, but some aren't hitting depth and you're doing a bit of a goodmorning on others. Guess it comes with the near-max work. Well done on the BW squats!
