I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I'd actually like to buy the book as a way of showing my support for the site and something to read on the train/plane/before I go to sleep.

I digress though, recipes and ideas for healthy food on the move as an alternative to the fast food domination we are all increasingly under.

First of all, thanks for an already great eBook Mehdi. A printed version is very welcome.
Here are a couple of points that I think would be great to keep in mind (in my opinion):

- The current eBook is written in a nice concise way. It is simple yet outlines the key points in a very clear way. Keep this.

- It would be great if the eBook itself remained free of charge, but the printed version was priced a little bit higher than normal. It makes a great product available to everybody. Including the poor and sceptics (there are a lot of people that demand money for sub-par products). I will buy the printed version no matter what because I know it is high quality (already read the eBook).

- Nutrition. As already mentioned it would be nice for some more details regarding this, including example recipes. You seem to have a lot of knowledge on effective and relevant nutrition. If this could be included without taking away main focus on lifting this would be fantastic!

- Improved diagrams/pictures demonstrating form. Sure, starting strength covers a lot of this too, but a set of diagrams per compound lift in Stronglifts-quality would be very much appreciated and fit nicely where each lift is described in a bit of detail. Maybe some diagrams showing the most common mistakes too? As you describe nicely in text already.

That's it for now. Apologies if I repeated things mentioned earlier, but I guess it don't hurt if many people have the same opinions (indicated it is something a lot of people would like to see included)

But page 1 of the ebook with threats against posting same questions on forum to be answered ad nauseum. Okay, I'll reign in the cynicism.

DEFINITELY. Include soft tissue exercises along with dynamic fllexibilty exercises. Also, I'm not sure that you're that big on static stretching, but maybe some highly recommend static stretches to perform after working out and the best times to to different types of flexibility exercises throughout the day

other things I would like to see

1. Useful assistance exercises
2.Incorporating unilateral training into the program
3. Nutrition guidelines and maybe a few example recipes
4. Gym etiquette (and maybe a few shameless jokes in there too :-))
5. Common weightlifting injuries and how to prevent/treat them
6. Section on cardiovascular training
7. Importance of setting goals on a regular basis and general mental training
8. Why your waffles and beer are so goddamn tasty
9. Recommended products and other lifting programs to check out.
10. Bodyweight exercises and their importance.

I'll probably think of more later. I'll keep you posted.

I would love to see the StrongLifts 5x5 beginner program complemented by specific stretching routines.

Stretching optimized to have a maximum result in a minimum amount of time, just like the StrongLifts 5x5 already is optimized!!

For example I was thinking about the dynamic stretching exercises in this article: http://stronglifts.com/7-dynamic-stretc ... -mobility/

Maybe split/lateral/rotational squats can be used as a warm-up and stretching routine at the same time? (also the Crossover Reverse Lunge)

Optimizing stretching raises questions for me like:

Is it better to do certain stretching before the training, and others after the training?
Is it better to warm-up without stretching at all and do the stretching on off days?
How many reps is optimal for dynamic stretches?

PS: I noticed that in the "StrongLifts 5x5: Official FAQ", the word "stretch" or "stretching" is not mentioned anywhere.

And please let me say it once more I LOVE THE STRONGLIFTS 5x5 BEGINNER PROGRAM !! :D Thanks for everything!!

I would like to see a how to warm up properly for weighted pull ups and dips. Like what weight to start with and how to work your way up to your work weight. I believe that dip and pull up warmups are fairly different to squat, deadlift and bench press warm ups.
Stats:
Bench: 97kg
Squat: 112kg
Deadlift: 117kg
OHP: 55kg
Dips: 40kg
Pull-ups: 22kg

The deadlift is not dead; size is dead without it.

Don't know if this has been covered yet, but I'd like to see an hour-by-hour breakdown of what is happening in my muscles and digestive system on both work-out and rest days.
What is my body looking for on a work-out day morning when I first get up? What does it do with the PB-banana-Cream of Wheat shake that I have about 45 min before working out?
What happens to the whey shake that I drink during the workout?
What does my body do if I only eat protein 30 min after a workout? What if I also eat carbs at the same time? What if I don't get to eat until 60 mins after the workout?
I know all this info is in Mehdi's blog posts (that's where I got my basic knowledge from) but I'd like to see it linked all together, tracked over two days. It would really help me understand what I should be eating and when.
Thanks as always, Mehdi.

I was thinking of basic hormone optimizations (cortisol, estrogens..) without drugs:
- sleeping enough
- meditate/sauna/chigong...
Decreasing stress for more improvements in for example fat loss.

Tips on how to work around injuries, eg. wrist pain, shoulder pain...

Adding some complexes for use as cardio (I like the ideas I saw here: http://www.tmuscle.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/screw_cardio_four_complexes_for_a_shredded_physique )
or some other ways to do cardio stuff, like implementing the jump rope, burpees, sled dragging? etc...

Maybe also more on nutrition, recipes, ...

I would like to see more articles on glycogen and its importance for workout energy. Sorry if there is already an article on this.
Stats:
Bench: 97kg
Squat: 112kg
Deadlift: 117kg
OHP: 55kg
Dips: 40kg
Pull-ups: 22kg

The deadlift is not dead; size is dead without it.
