I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I get that once I reach 5 to 10 lbs over my goal weight, that I should stop GOMAD. So do I then still target exceeding my maintenance level of calories to keep adding muscle, with whole foods instead of milk, or what? It seems that if I stop getting more calories than the amount I am expending (base amount plus activities), that I will stop adding muscle weight or even start losing weight. GOMAD makes it a lot easier to get the amount of calories I need to put on weight; without it I need to eat gobs of food, which can be a challenge.

You will most likely not lose muscle, but you probably wont gain any muscle for a week or two but you will lose fat and become leaner. Once your body adjusts to the new amount of calories you are eating, then start eating more food, and it will be as like your body forgot how many calories you ate w/ GOMAD and you'll gain muscle again, but slower
