I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

You guys thought it watchmen was good?

Me and all my friends thought it was a waste of $10.00, seriously. My idea of watching a movie is not to see a blue penis every other scene. :/ Besides that, I the think the movie was just kinda wack. :/

Hot fuzz is a great british film!

Police Officer from the MET is taken out of the city and moved to a small village. The Force he joins in the village are very out of date with there approach to policing in general. He soon realises that the village is by no means a quiet village and has to use all means possible to turn a village from a complete nightmare to a proud area once more. Absolutely brilliant film and will have you laughing all the way through, I watched it for the second time the other day and realised just how many jokes are actually in it!

Yup, a classic :D "Shawn of The Dead" isn't too bad either, and made by the same guy.

About the Watchmen, I did not see the movie yet but I read the comic. I highly recommend reading the comic. As far as the movie goes, I felt at the very beginning it would not make for a good movie because the depth of the comic, and that it is not focused purely on action. After speaking to one of my buddies who went to see the movie and was disappointing, we determined that the major reason for his disappointment was that he was lead to believe that it was going to be a different type of movie then it actually was. He said he thought it was going to be lots of action and fighting (kind of like X-Men) and more based on those lines. He also said it didn't help that it was 2 hours and 40 mins long and said that if he knew what to expect going in he probably wouldn't have been so judgmental while watching it and enjoyed it more for what it was. However, he did say that it could have done without the blue penis shots and the sex scenes. But as we discussed it more, he did seem to enjoy the storyline of it, and appreciated it more as he gave thought to it.

I feel as if you go into the movie with expectation that it's going to be another superhero action flick your going to be disappointing, but if you go in with an open mind then you'll enjoy it more. I do have to see the movie first before this is my actual stance, but if it's anything like the comic, its got to be somewhat good - That's How Good the comic is.

Since I don't comment much I wanted to give a shout out to Mehdi, all the moderators, and forum members for this is one of my favorite sites and I have learned more then I can ever put into words about many many topics. Thanks all!

I saw Watchmen, I thought it was really boring, and shouldn't have been made. It worked alright as a comic, but just didnt translate onto the screen. I can't imagine how anyone not familiar with the book would have found the film anything but completely risible. The only interest for fans, I would imagine, is seeing many of the scenes faithfully replicated on the big screen. But unlike the film, you couldn't put it down after 20 minutes once you're bored with it. You had to sit there for 3.long.hours.

That's why I didn't like it. I never read the comic, so I was sitting there like "what."

I saw Righteous Kill with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, very good movie. I enjoy those two actors together.

Watched Slumdog Millionaire a couple of days back. I think it's a good movie, but not as good as hyped.

And I did. Wasn't expecting that ending, however. Wow...just a great movie.
