I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Overhead press by far. I just love lifting heavy ass weights over my head. It's the lift that really gives me a rush.

Deadlifts would be second.

Squats I don't really like, but I do them because I know what they do for me.

Deadlifts.

I think they'd be top of every internet poll of this nature.

I ended up voting Deadlift. At first I thought: can't choose, like them all. But reading through comments, yeah deadlifts is a bit different.

Awesome survey jpez!

I voted for the bench press. I can see I am a minority here. I like all the other lifts too, power clean and deadlift in particular, so it was rather hard to chooze, but bench won.

Love the bench press
... i think it gets a hard rep, but i just find a completed lift on the bench more satisfying than the others

my favourite is definitely the machine preacher curls!! I get such a good pump in my 'ceps.

Just kidding, mine would have to be squats because I love how you want to puke after each set :D

I like the Squat followed closely by the Deadlift. I like Squat more because I feel more destroyed after doing a heavy set.

I was born to squat. It is the most satisfying for me. Push to stand up. End at the top as opposed to having put the weight back down.

Deadlift, hands down:

- Deadlifting is what built my foundation
- Deadlifting is what I do best
- Deadlifting can been done everywhere, at all times
- Deadlifting is the one and only exercise where "cheating" never means lifting more weight

A very interesting survey, this.

Deadlift. No doubt about it for me. I like the rest of them but nothing gives me a rush like pulling that bar off the floor.

I love the quote in sig, but I totally disagree with it.

I think a woman looks VERY hot maxing out on squats, and deadlifts for that matter. :D

I agee but the quote is addressing a woman's perspecitive of herself & being more worried about what she looks like rather than focusing on lifting heavy. Because you know it will make her bulky & lifing heavy weights is not feminine.
