I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hello guys,

I just realized that this forum is perhaps the most internationally diversed site of which I've been privileged to be a member. I belong to different forums regarding different topics, but the members of this site seem to be literally from all over the world. I think it's wonderful that all people from all walks of life converge into this website as a result of our common interest. Do you care to tell us where you are from? I will start.

I was born and raised in the Philippines. I was 12 when my parents immigrated to California. I served in the US Army for 11 years, and was stationed pretty much all over the world including Europe. Pennsylvania is now my home. I met my wife here and we have a wonderful 4-year-old daughter.

Edit by Mehdi:
Here's a Google Map where you can enter your location: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie ... 0b0209b8bc

To add yourself to the google map (thank Turtle for this guide)
1) Go to this link http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie ... 0b0209b8bc
2) Click the "Save to my maps" link at the top right of the left vertical bar
3) Sign in or create an account
4) Click the "Edit" button in the left bar
5) Select the placemarker icon near the map controls in the top left corner of the map
6) Drop the placemarker on your location
7) Type in your info and click the "Ok" button
8) Click the "Done" button in the left bar and you should be saved onto the map

Tip by KIB
Watch what you're doing when you add your location to the map. There doesn't seem to be an "undo" so, for example, if you try to click on... oh, let's say RCD's icon while your "edit" window is still active, you'll move it all over the place and can't put it back. And don't click on "collaborate" either, cuz you can't take your name off the list, apparently. Jeez... and to think I make my living with these 'pooter machines... Sorry RCD! I put you back on London (the right one) but don't know if you had it more specific than that...

I live in Cornwall, England - probably the nicer part of England, in my opinion; where life is simple, and so are the people!
Always lived in England... Currently training to be a fitness instructor. :)

WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE YOU FROM?

Postby Mehdi » Sun Feb 24, 2008 4:32 pm

I wanted to start a thread like this :)
I'm from Belgium, 20km from the capital Brussels. Living in a rural region called "pajottenland". Pros: very calm around here, lots of nature, fresh air, I'm only 20km from the capital, 35km from Ghent, 60 from Antwerp. Cons: lot of "peasants", nothing to do around here for going out, etc
Need advice? Check my Fitness Coaching program or post your question in the forum. Do not pm me with questions.

Born in Poland, migrated to New Jersey, US when I was 19. Now 34, married to an american girl, we have two daughters 4 and 2 year old. I live outside of major industrial area, about 50 miles from New York City. Still close enough to get jobs, but far enough to not feel totally separated from greatness of nature.
