I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Where to Get Your Supplements?

Let's make a FAQ for this too.

US
* http://www.bulknutrition.com => bought ON whey there for years until rising oil prices made shipping to Europe too expensive
* Amazon: ON whey here.
* Trueprotein.com => people I trust have recommended me this, haven't tried them yet

EU:
* http://www.myprotein.co.uk => UK based, get whey/vits/fish oil here now. Cheaper than importing from US.

Add yours, short review of what you got, taste, price, etc. Will update the list all a long.

UK:

*ON Whey at a reasonable price from phd fitness - 5lbs for £35.46 or 10lbs for £64.99

*Fish Oil with 330mg of EPA & 220mg of DHA - usually on BOGOF - from simplysupplements - 180 + 180 (360) caps for £14.29

The cheapest way I found of getting cod liver oil in the UK was to just buy the Superdrug cod liver oil - 2 pounds a bottle, contains about 500mg of EPA/DHA per spoon. Certainly a lot cheaper than the pills (assuming you want a high amount of EPA/DHA per day, the pills I found you'd have to take a lot of every day to get the same amount thus making them a lot more expensive), doesnt taste too nice but I just take it right before a meal, get used to it pretty fast. Each bottle lasts me a bit over a month.

What Fish oil/VIt supplement do you recommend from myprotein.co.uk? I currently am using the strawberry omega 3 liquid and alpha men multi-vitamin. Although you can barely taste a hint off strawberry in the fish oil.

This fish oil I've used several times: http://www.myprotein.co.uk/capsules-tab ... s/omega-3/ 6caps per day, 1000mg each.

Vits => haven't used their new alpha male yet, was using their old multi which they discontinued. I'm usually taking vitamines 3 months on, 3months off, don't like the idea of taking pills daily 365days/year.

Thanks for the info. Would you say taking vits every day of the year is 'bad' for you? Most days I get plenty of fruit, but no vegetables, so I am depending on the vits as a replacement, which I hope to change in the future.

NEW ZEALAND

Reactiv.co.nz sells pure whey with no flavours/additives. Mixes well and tastes like milk, and very reasonably priced (free delivery). Also flavoured whey and whey isolate available, as well as creatine, glutamine, multi-vitamin and other supps as well. Locally owned, products made in NZ.

@mehdi Agreed on myprotein.co.uk - bought from them regularly. Not the cheapest, but great-tasting whey and fast shipment too.

Yep, another one for Myprotein.

@Rokku, surprised you don't find them the cheapest - I thought they were quite competitive. I'll agree that they may not compare well when looking at complex formulas (i.e. a whey, creatine, glutamine mix), but for basics, they compare well.

I'd recommend http://www.solosupplements.co.uk/ if buying branded supplements.

You're probably right - I haven't price-checked for a while :) I buy their True Whey (which I've just seen they do in Toffee Fudge now! OMG) which I think is slightly more expensive than normal whey I saw priced elsewhere. It's awesome, tasty stuff though.

@ Rokku: I just go for the unflavoured whey, and add nesquik to flavour and provide simple carbs to speed up absorbtion post WO. Otherwise, I just add to milk and it tastes fine.

Just seen their newsletter, they are running a double points promotion for their 5th birthday. For one day only tomorrow (May 14th) between 9am-11pm.

www.bodybuilding.com has good prices on ON 100% Whey (US$79.99 + 5.95 shipping). You can usually find an online coupon code to reduce the price even more.

Yep I only ever buy my stuff from Mike at Reactiv! Don't forget that it's free from all the growth hormones and crap that's in some of the US/EU whey's.
