I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hey Zizzy,

Awesome workout above. And congrats on the fat loss and loss around the waistline! I wish I had taken measurements before I started. So cool to see the actual numbers. Enjoy the deload, then have at it again!

That's awesome on the fat loss! It's really important to keep records like you have and that's a perfect example of why. It's really motivating seeing the changes in writing like that.

@Liz: Thanks for the encouragement! Its a real booster to keep on going to see those numbers. :)

@james: Yea, I intend to keep all my records together and show it to the world when I finally achieve my goal(!). I'm not trying to get there overnight any more. And I am starting to really enjoy the challenges the bar is bringing. Thanks!

Workout
- Box squat: 5x45lbs, 3x95lbs, 5x5 160lbs -- solid. felt good.
- Bench: 5x5 80lbs -- solid here too.
- Inverse Row: 12/7/5 -- I could go up to 12 easily pretty good.
- Pushup: 8/5/4 -- felt good here too. I think pushup has been improving. Not sure if its the result of the deload or a lighter weight on the bench.
- Reverse C: 3x12
- Cardio: 5min. walking -- had to run to the friend's party. But I squeezed in the workout!

Another funny thing happened today at the gym. These 2 guys came to the squat rack while I was just warming up. They briefly asked how long I'll be on and they went to do something else. They kind of lingered around and when I was done, one of the guys asked, "Are you a powerlifter?" I said, no. :P And he said, your form is really really good. Another feel good moment, and a nice note to end the workout. 8)

I was going to start some discussion about how you never know which form he might have been talking about and you'll have to decide which kind of compliment you would prefer, but I'll refrain. ;)

That's really a great comment - what a terrific way to end a workout (and a week).

Actually I think you are a power lifter! You're doing all the lifts well and with good numbers. I'm impressed!

Montgomery Blair, at the same time as Goldie Hawn and Connie Chung.

Good workout by the way! Deloads have become my favorite part of the program.

Yes. Deloading has brought me such an unexpected satisfaction. Loving it right now!

Workout
- Box squat: 5x45lbs, 3x95lbs, 2x130lbs, 5x5 165lbs -- solid, but it was tough. supine bridge between the warmups.
- Overhead: 3x5 60lbs -- easy. But I felt the last set. I found out the problem. It was the shoulders. I was madly doing the shoulder dislocation for about 3 days and it made the world of the difference.
- Deadlift: 1x5 215lbs!!!!!!!! -- I did it!!!
- Pullup: 1x3 reverse.
- Prone B.: 3x30sec one legged.
- Cardio: 40 min. elliptical --5 min cut short to make the dinner with friends

Oh boy. It was the 3rd attempt on the deadlift and I delivered it. Felt good. And all of my shoulder and glute activation exercises are paying off. Really paying off. I think as the weights go up, your weaknesses become more apparent so you can target them. Can't wait for the next workout.
