Once you’re on the Anabolic Diet for more than 3 months, you can start tweaking it.
One thing I changed is going from 48 hours carb loading to 24 hours.
This post will explain you why & how.
Side Effects of 48 Hours Carb Loadings. Weekends on the Anabolic Diet have a 70% carb intake. In my case, this causes:
- Laziness
- Sleepiness
- Hunger
That’s why I keep the carb loading to 24 hours. Energy levels are high & hunger controlled 6 days on 7.
24 Hours or 48 hours? Read Eat Right 4 Your Type by Dr. D’Adamo. Your blood type can help you finding what fits best. Next experiment:
- Keep a diet journal
- Track energy levels
- Note weight & body fat
Carb loading can last 24 to 48 hours. Some people go as low as 12 hours. I often start Sunday 10am ending at 8pm. That’s 18 hours.
Tips for 24 hours Carb Loading. Some advice first time you try it:
- Get your calories. Don’t over- or undereat.
- Check the mirror. Smoothing means you should stop.
If you have troubles getting your total calories for the day, try simple carbs. It will make it easier.
Is this for you? If you have a big appetite like me or if you don’t like carbs. Yes, definitely. Best is to experiment. Only way to find out.
Be sure you’ve adapted to the Anabolic Diet before trying 24 hour carb loadings.
