Almost 7000 fans now. If you don’t belong to the StrongLifts Facebook Fan page yet, I urge you to join today by clicking here to gain access to exclusive content not on this blog. Here are just some of the things you missed this week…
What Did You Think of The New 5×5 Report? Michal Osiak wrote “Great book, slight changes with the old 5×5, only for the better. the success stories section is a killer, something like that should be all books on self developement of any kind, whether its strenght training or personal. Once you read success stories you know this stuff works right? Also, the background info, especially Arnie’s story – great work, keep it up man, you are a hero”. There are almost 50 comments for you to read, check them out by clicking here. And if you wonder why I dropped the assistance exercises, don’t be concerned, I’ll explain that tomorrow.
What Music Gets You Pumped While Training? 119 comments there already, so check it out if you need inspiration. Personally, I do not like metal at all, I’m more of a club-house guy (hey I’m from Belgium), and I often don’t listen to any music when training. It’s what Andreas Röttinger wrote: “none! If you can still concentrate on music you’re not training hard enough! Same goes for smiling & talking. Drinking water and writing the journal is okay.” If music works for you, continue, but don’t let it become a crutch.
You Know You’re Squatting Right When… over 70 comments. I liked what Bradford Taylor wrote: “You find that you no longer push the weight on your shoulders….YOU NOW PUSH THE EARTH DOWN.” Also good replies by Nathan Williamson “The whole gym stops and stares,” and by Youssef Sarhan “When all you can do is eat everything and sleep for 2 days after.”
